"I am highly satisfied with EchoMAP and feel that it paid for itself on this first trip.  On the last leg of the trip – Centerville, TN to Austin, TX -- EchoMAP showed a large area of red across the last 100 miles of our route. The storms were too wide to go around, they had not been forecast, and the controllers in north Texas did know about them.  Because of the EchoMAP information, I decided to land in Tyler, TX and check out the radar. Sure enough, there were strong storms in the area from Waco to Houston to Austin to Waco, as high as 55 thousand feet, with hail.
